Artist’s Biography
Based in Macomb, Illinois, Karla Runquist’s work has been displayed in many locations and galleries throughout the central United States and in numerous private collections through out the world.
Currently she has a one person show at the Southern Illinois Artisans Shop in Whittington, Il, comprised of oil & watercolor paintings and bronze sculpture to be followed up by another one person show at the Keokuk Art Center in Keokuk Ia for June.
Between the two one person shows she will be attending Sculpture In The South at Summerville SC, in May and the Loveland Sculpture Invitational at Loveland CO. in Aug.
She has exhibited in shows though out the nation, including the annual Sculpture of the South in Summerville, SC, and the Loveland Sculpture Show in Loveland CO. Karla was awarded an Illinois State Arts Council grant to attend the International Sculpture Conference and has received numerous other awards.
Her sculpture was recently included in the Marsha S. Glazer Collection s at the Peoria Art Guild. Considered among the 100 best private art collections in the world, the show featured original work of 20 internationally famous modern masters, including Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock.
